Key Responsibilities
Lead product/software quality strategy across NPI, sustaining engineering, customer issues and improvement projects with internal & external stakeholders.
Participate in design, code, verification and validation reviews to identify risks and ensure quality requirements are met.
Drive CTQ, APQP, DFSS, DfR and FMEA activities to strengthen product and process robustness.
Plan and execute reliability testing, including HALT and ORT, and conduct hands-on electrical/mechanical failure analysis.
Lead root cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) and cross-functional problem resolution.
Ensure product and process readiness for mass production and successful product launches.
Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Service and Suppliers to drive risk mitigation and continuous improvement.
Support ISO 9001 audits and Quality Management System requirements.
Identify and implement AI, analytics and automation opportunities across design, testing, quality and manufacturing.
Translate engineering and process data into scalable solutions that improve defect detection, test efficiency, quality and productivity.
Provide regular project quality updates, escalate risks and drive timely resolution.
Requirements
Min. Bachelor's Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related disciplines.
Min 5-6 years' experience in Quality Engineering and/or Design within electronics or software development.
Min. 4-5 years of experience in both external and internal customer-facing roles, with strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Strong understanding of electronic manufacturing, assembly and test processes.
Experience with product development, quality tools and risk-based quality practices.
Experience supporting or auditing ISO 9001 quality systems.
Strong hands-on troubleshooting and failure analysis capabilities.
Proven ability to collaborate across Engineering, Manufacturing, Service and global teams.
Preferred but not a must
Experience with SDLC, Agile, Scrum, SAFe or Lean methodologies.
Knowledge of Six Sigma, DFSS or Reliability Engineering.
Experience in hardware design/manufacturing within automotive, aerospace, semiconductor or consumer electronics.
Relevant certifications such as ASQ CSQE or Six Sigma Black Belt.
Exposure to AI/GenAI, Machine Learning, analytics, data visualisation or digital automation in engineering, testing, quality or manufacturing.
Familiarity with data pipelines, model validation and scalable digital solutions.
