You will play a critical role in transforming Facilities Mechanical operations through artificial intelligence, advanced analytics, and smart technologies. This role focuses on developing and deploying AI-driven solutions to improve system reliability, predictive maintenance, energy efficiency, operational decision-making, and workforce productivity across critical mechanical systems supporting semiconductor manufacturing. Your ability to bridge mechanical engineering knowledge with data, controls, and digital tools will help accelerate continuous improvement and enable department and company goals.
Collaborate with Facilities Mechanical, Controls, Automation, IT, and Operations teams to integrate smart technologies into critical systems such as HVAC, chillers, cooling towers, process cooling water, exhaust, scrubbers, boilers, CDA, and cleanroom air systems.
Develop, deploy and sustain AI, machine learning, and data-driven solutions to improve reliability, maintenance effectiveness, and operational performance of Facilities Mechanical systems.
Design and implement predictive maintenance models using equipment, sensor, SCADA, historian, and maintenance data to identify abnormal patterns, predict failures, and reduce unplanned downtime.
Collaborate with I&C counterparts to build dashboards, analytical tools, and decision-support applications for maintenance planning, alarm management, asset health monitoring, spare optimization, project tracking, and energy performance management.
Apply statistical analysis, anomaly detection, and root cause methodologies to large operational data sets to improve troubleshooting speed and accuracy for system events and production interruptions.
Drive digitalization initiatives for maintenance workflows, including automated reporting, work order prioritization, knowledge capture, and AI-assisted troubleshooting guidance.
Partner with engineering teams to create digital twins, simulation models, or asset performance models for capacity planning, scenario analysis, and system optimization.
Identify opportunities to reduce electricity, water, waste, and operating costs through AI-enabled optimization strategies aligned to sustainability goals.
Ensure data quality, model governance, cybersecurity awareness, and practical deployment of AI tools in accordance with company policies, engineering standards, and operational requirements.
Translate business and operational problems into scalable AI use cases with measurable outcomes, and track value delivered through uptime improvement, labor productivity, energy savings, and cost avoidance.
Support training and change management to help site teams adopt AI tools effectively and embed data-driven decision-making into day-to-day mechanical operations.
Enforce company environmental, safety, and health policies, procedures, risk assessments, and quality standards when designing and deploying AI-enabled solutions in the Facilities environment.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline.
Minimum 3 years of experience in Facilities Mechanical Systems or 5 years of experience developing AI and SMART solutions for facilities, manufacturing, or industrial environments.
Strong knowledge of mechanical utility systems, including HVAC, chilled water, cooling towers, exhaust, scrubbers, compressed air, process cooling water, and cleanroom systems.
Experience in predictive maintenance, data analytics, machine learning, anomaly detection, or industrial AI applications.
Proficiency in Python, SQL, Power BI, or other data analysis and automation tools.
Familiarity with SCADA, BMS, PLC, historian databases, CMMS, or IoT platforms for equipment monitoring and maintenance.
Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
Ability to translate operational requirements into practical digital solutions and collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
Strong communication, analytical, and documentation skills.
Willingness to support a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
