Overall Job Objectives
Responsible for timely delivery of proven software that fully meets the customer’s specifications.
Core Responsibilities
Development of automation machine software applications which include both machine control, robot control and vision inspection systems
Involve in design and development of machine control software for full line automation systems from concept to on-site installation.
Involve in the installation and commissioning of the control system including qualification and validation activities
Assist in circuit design on machine control for full line automation systems
Manage automation projects or sub modules within a project
Handle machine setups and troubleshooting
Provide field support of automation machines
Must be willing to travel overseas when required
Proactively communicate project progress, key issues, and any other critical topics in a timely manner to the appropriate management level, vendors, and stakeholders
Resolve technical issues arising from equipment, process, and materials etc
Ensure that issues are resolved timely and effectively
Ability to develop high-performance vision algorithms is an added advantage
Job Requirements
Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Degree in Electrical/ Electronics / Mechatronics Engineering
Relevant experience in machine control software design and development
Proficient in PLC programming for various types like AB, Omron and Beckhoff
Proficient in Visual C#/C++ programming
Knowledge of Beckhoff TwinCAT programming will be an added advantage
Knowledge in C#, Computer Vision and Image Processing or SECS/GEM would be an added advantage
Good knowledge and relevant experience in design and troubleshooting of servo and motion control systems is essential
Key Deliverables
Timely testing and commissioning of FAT and SAT on new customized machine within timelines
Ensure compliance to processes, procedures, and systems
