Job Summary
The Director, Product & Advanced Strategies: Advanced Sales is part of the Connect Wealth Solution’s Product and Advanced Strategies team. The Product and Advanced Strategies team is comprised of subject matter experts in the areas of financial strategies, practice management, and products. In this role, the individual works closely with annuity and life insurance wholesalers, as well as financial professionals, to leverage the individual’s subject matter expertise in financial planning, tax strategies, estate planning, small business planning, and insurance solutions to drive sales growth and enhance the firm’s relationships and reputation. This role requires excellent analytical, communication, and strategic thinking skills along with the ability to lead and influence others without direct supervisory authority.
Job Description
Duties/Responsibilities

- Collaborate daily with wholesalers, financial professionals, and internal stakeholders to develop and present consultative and customized solutions for complex financial needs, including retirement planning, estate planning, business succession, executive benefits, tax strategies, and charitable giving.
- Present advanced sales strategies, case consultations, and content via webinars, public speaking at industry events and conferences, and telephone support.
- Assist in developing sales ideas, marketing collateral, presentations, whitepapers, and assorted material to promote and position advanced sales strategies and insurance solutions.
- Work closely with sales leaders and wholesalers to train and enhance their understanding of advanced sales strategies.
- Proactively communicate changes in tax law, industry trends, and regulatory developments that affect advanced sales strategies.
- Provide detailed knowledge of life insurance, annuities, and other financial products to financial professionals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with wholesalers, financial professionals, and key partners to foster long-term trust and collaboration.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree. Advanced degree strongly preferred (JD, CPA, MBA, LLM, or other equivalent).
- CLU, ChFC, CFP, CPA, RICP, or similar designation
- 5+ years of annuity or life insurance experience
- 5+ years of advanced sales, financial planning, or related industry experience
- FINRA Series 6 or 7, or ability to obtain within 90-days
- State insurance license, or ability to obtain within 90-days
- Ability to travel (approx. 30%)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Deep understanding of life insurance, annuities, financial planning concepts and strategies.
- Strong knowledge of tax, legal, and regulatory issues affecting financial products and advanced planning techniques.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences.
- Exceptional public speaking skills.
- Experience working with third-party distribution.
- Understanding of the independent broker/dealer and RIA space
- Ability to independently develop new ideas and concepts that drive sales
- Experience working in cross-functional teams
- Team oriented with excellent collaboration skills.
- Proficient using Microsoft Office
Pay Transparency
Pay range $200,000 - 220,000 based on experience, education, skills, and training.
