The Software Engineer will be responsible for the development, integration, commissioning, and maintenance of software solutions for industrial automation and robotic systems. The role includes PLC programming, system design and software architecture, GUI and HMI development, robotic system integration, machine vision, and integration of sensors, actuators, instruments, and other automation equipment. The engineer will develop machine control sequences, interlocks, alarms, motion control, data acquisition, and communication interfaces using industrial protocols such as Modbus, OPC UA, MQTT, PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, TCP/IP, REST API, and serial communication. The role will also support the development of applications and integration software using Python, C#, C++, JavaScript, Structured Text, or other suitable programming languages. Responsibilities include system testing, debugging, FAT/SAT, commissioning, troubleshooting, software upgrades, and ongoing support for existing systems. The engineer will work closely with mechanical, electrical, robotics, and project teams to establish robust and scalable system architectures, develop reusable software modules and standards, maintain technical documentation and version control, and support the efficient delivery of both existing and future automation projects.
