UJA-Federation of New York is looking for a Marketing & Communications Strategist, Advocacy and Civic Engagement to play a key role in shaping and executing marketing communications that inspire civic participation, showcase UJA's impact across the community, and advance UJA's mission. This is a multifaceted role that blends strategic communications, project management, and compelling storytelling during a moment of heightened engagement and urgency.
Requirements
- One-two years of political campaign experience or similar
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a keen sense of brand voice
- Knowledge of Jewish communal landscape across NY
- Knowledge of influencer space as it relates to political and civic engagement
- Strategic thinker who can move fluidly between big-picture vision and tactical execution
- Agile, swift, and unflappable team player with strong work ethic, who's resourceful, self-directed, and comfortable managing up, down, and across teams
- Strong, visual thinker who can tell stories through both words and images
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in marketing, writing, communications, or account/project management
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving and prioritization skills. (left brain + right brain)
- Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, can-do attitude
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and other creative tools a plus
- Strong interest in advocacy/civic engagement, Jewish communal life, programs, and initiatives preferred
