This is a remote position.
Responsible for managing day-to-day financial record keeping while ensuring full compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements. The role requires strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and proficiency in accounting principles and tax laws. To ensures accurate financial documentation, supports audits, generates essential financial reports, and provides management with insights to support sound financial decision-making.The role will primarily focus on assisting with client compliance. Duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Process transactions and ensure accuracy of data and transaction allocation.
- Responsible to all aspects of bookkeeping meeting necessary deadlines
- Support client onboarding and set up for bookkeeping service delivery
- Provide bookkeeping services and finance function support
- Preparation of management reporting and supporting Managers
- Participate in client account management and client meetings
- Direct contact with clients and opportunity to develop client relationships
- Identify process and efficiency improvement opportunities implement changes
- Liaise with the ATO and ASIC on client compliance matters
- Use and adopt firm technology, applications and processes
- Other tasks as required
Requirements
- At least 2 years of AU Tax experience and Bookkeeping
- Experience with Xero
- Nice to have experience - MYOB
- The ability to manage your time effectively and prioritize tasks.
- Possess the drive to grow professionally and learn new things.
- Completion of BAS and IAS
- Annual Compliance
- Income Tax Returns
- Annual Financial Reports
- Maintenance of client Fixed Asset Registers
- Liaise with the ATO and ASIC on client compliance matters
- Daily, weekly, monthly and annual tasks incl. accounts reconciliation
- Other tasks as required
