Work Schedule: 5 day’s work week (Monday –Friday)
Salary: $9,000 - $11,000 per month
As a Commodities Broker, you will play a key role in sourcing and securing fuel supply while driving value for both our customers and supplier partners.
Responsibilities:
- Negotiate daily fuel purchasing requirements within your assigned markets
- Build and strengthen relationships with existing suppliers to unlock new opportunities
- Identify and onboard new suppliers to expand our supply network
- Structure and negotiate supply agreements with commercially advantageous terms
- Monitor market trends, pricing, and demand to identify trading opportunities
- Maintain and manage a pipeline of supplier opportunities and targets
- Serve as a reliable point of contact for supplier transactions and requests
- Maintain port demand profiles to support strategic planning and customer coverage
- Support operational and logistics activities, including delivery coordination, service issues, and claims resolution
- Communicate and negotiate with Korean-speaking suppliers and business partners, including reviewing and managing commercial communications and documentation in Korean to support day-to-day trading and supply activities.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience in commodity trading, preferably within the marine fuel, bunkering, energy, or related commodities sectors.
- Proficiency in spoken and written Korean is required to communicate and negotiate with Korean-speaking suppliers and business partners, and to review commercial communications and documentation in Korean as part of the role's day-to-day responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of commodity market fundamentals, pricing mechanisms, and market dynamics.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret market information and commercial data.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate commercial agreements and make sound business decisions.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced business environment.
- Experience in marine fuel trading, commodity trading, brokerage, or related commercial trading activities will be advantageous.
- Knowledge of derivatives, hedging strategies, or risk management instruments will be advantageous.
