Our department is seeking to hire a Research Fellow to spearhead the development of Data-Driven based Digital Twin for Li-ion batteries. This role is pivotal in creating innovative frameworks for both wired and wireless charging optimization, specifically within the electric vehicle (EV) sector. By merging classical control methods with advanced machine learning, the researcher will enhance battery performance and safety, directly contributing to the University’s mission of driving technological innovation and sustainable energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and formulate novel control system frameworks to achieve optimal charging profiles for EV batteries, balancing speed with longevity.
Devise and implement data-driven and AI-based optimization algorithms specifically for the thermal and health management of Li-ion batteries in wireless charging environments.
Conduct high-level research into predictive maintenance strategies and advanced State of Health monitoring to improve battery safety and lifecycle.
Improve existing battery management architectures by integrating Digital Twin technology to create real-time, adaptive control loops.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate research findings into practical applications.
Lead the dissemination of research by drafting high-impact manuscripts for journals and presenting findings at international conferences.
Job Requirements:
PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields.
Expertise in developing control algorithms.
Knowledge of Li-ion battery modeling techniques.
Research experience in predictive maintenance, battery thermal and health management.
Experience in mathematical modeling, data analytics, and machine learning model development.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Matlab and Python.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
