Kubernetes Engineer – Cloud Migration

The KubernetesMigration Engineer is responsible for executing the migration and deployment ofcontainerized workloads into Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). This role supportsKubernetes platform configuration, application deployment, testing, monitoring,troubleshooting, and post-migration validation activities.

In addition, the roleoperates within a managed services environment, ensuring operational stabilityby proactively managing, monitoring, and resolving technical incidents acrosscloud and container platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Kubernetes Migration& Deployment

·        Execute migration of containerizedworkloads to Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).

·        Deploy and configure Kubernetes clustersand associated services in Azure.

·        Support containerization efforts usingDocker and related tools.

·        Manage Kubernetes resources using YAMLmanifests and Helm charts.

·        Assist in migration validation, testing,and performance tuning.

·        Troubleshoot container, cluster, anddeployment-related issues.

Platform & CloudOperations

·        Administer and maintain Kubernetesclusters, ensuring high availability and performance.

·        Monitor cluster health, workloads, andresource utilization.

·        Support integration with CI/CD pipelinesfor automated deployments.

·        Perform Linux system administrationtasks supporting container platforms.

·        Assist in implementing networking,security, and storage configurations within Kubernetes environments.

Technical Support &Incident Management

·        Resolve incidents and service requestswithin agreed SLA timelines under general supervision.

·        Proactively monitor systems and identifypotential issues before service impact.

·        Investigate, analyse, and troubleshootcomplex issues across container and cloud environments.

·        Maintain accurate and timely ticketupdates with clear resolution documentation.

·        Escalate complex issues to seniorengineers or Technical Leads as required.

Service Delivery &Process Compliance

·        Ensure adherence to ITIL processesincluding Incident, Problem, and Change Management.

·        Support, track, and document changeimplementation activities.

·        Contribute to service improvementinitiatives and automation efforts.

·        Participate in disaster recovery andoperational readiness activities where applicable.

Collaboration &Knowledge Sharing

·        Work closely with Technical Leads,DevOps teams, and architects to support migration and operational activities.

·        Share knowledge, document solutions, andcontribute to knowledge base improvements.

·        Support junior engineers and collaborateacross cross-functional teams.

Required Skills & Qualification

·        3–5 years of experience in Azure andKubernetes implementation and operations.

·        Hands-on experience with:

-        Kubernetes administration

-        Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)

-        Docker and container platforms

-        YAML configuration and Helm charts

-        Linux administration

-        CI/CD integration (Azure DevOps, GitHubActions, etc.)

·        Strong troubleshooting skills incontainerized environments.

Experience working in cloud-native or microservices-based architectures
