Job Title: Regional Sales Manager for Lagos
Our client is a trusted provider of alternative clean energy solutions, serving both household and commercial clients across Sub-Saharan Africa. They specialise in delivering end-to-end solar solutions through scalable and cost-effective platforms, positioning them as a leading provider of solar home systems and energy services in the region.
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth and field execution within a defined territory by building and managing high-performing sales teams. The role exists to strengthen Agent Team Leaders, improve agent productivity, and deliver consistent regional sales performance through strong coaching, planning, and accountability.
Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual regional sales targets.
Develop and implement regional sales plans to improve performance across the territory.
Recruit, coach, and manage Agent Team Leaders to build strong field leadership.
Support Agent Team Leaders in recruiting, activating, and retaining productive field agents.
Conduct regular field visits, market coaching, and performance reviews.
Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance and take corrective action where needed.
Track portfolio quality and support repayment performance through field discipline.
Create accountability through regular reviews, reporting, and performance management.
Identify growth opportunities, underperformance trends, and succession needs within the region.
At least 2 years’ experience managing teams.
Experience in PAYGO solar, telecom distribution, FMCG distribution, or microfinance field operations is preferred.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Ability to develop others rather than only manage tasks.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Discipline in performance tracking and follow-up.
Comfort working in the field and engaging local teams.
