Eucharist-Tech Pte Ltd develops its software products/platform predominantly in Java, and owns the IP. Our Products deliver a unique platform to build complex, distributedand decentralised business applications without a single line of code being written. We are looking for a skilled software engineer with the technical depth to rapidly track into a Tech Lead role based on merit and impact, not tenure. He should be able to reliably guide our platform's growth, improve its features, and help our business succeed.

The platform enables people who have business process knowledge but are not programmers to be able to create a business application. We are in the process of strengthening our team, and are seeking like-minded, highly motivated individuals with a can-do spirit to join the team.

Software Engineer / Senior Software Engineer (Progressing to Tech Lead)

We are looking for a Software Engineer / Senior Software Engineer to take technical ownership of the long-term optimization, mobile integration, and evolution of our live core platform. This is a hands-on, high-impact role built for an engineer who thrives on technical autonomy and individual delivery.

Rather than building a fresh system from template frameworks, you will inherit an established, high-performance distributed architecture. Your primary mission is to deep-dive into the existing ecosystem, identify critical system bottlenecks, ensure seamless data synchronization withour mobile environments, and implement structural refinements. This role is a hybrid balance split between direct individual coding/architecting and mentoring a dedicated team of mid-level engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead the continued development and maintenance of the platform
2. Identify critical areas for improvement and to collaborate with management to appropriately position the software platform in the market
3. Take on complex programming and design
4. Drive technical decisions, generate new ideas and establish best practices
5. Mentor engineers and lead code reviews
6. Ensure high code quality, scalability, and performance
7. Support in-house and external customers in both development and production environment

Requirements:

1. 5 years of experience in Java development; those with less than 5 years will be considered if they can provide evidence of skill sets and expertise to match this requirement
2. Strong experience in software architecture and system design
3. Experience with designing microservices, APIs, distributed systems
4. Experience with UI frameworks/libraries (e.g. Swing, SWT)
5. Proficiency in application frameworks such as Spring / JakartaEE
6. Strong leadership and communication skills
7. Experience guiding a small team, explaining technical concepts clearly, and acting as a reliable individual contributor.

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of DevOps practices
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure)
• Experience with Netbeans Platform / Eclipse Platform
• Experience with MQ protocols
• Proficient in SQL and XML

Starting salary will be commensurate with the candidate's depth of Java expertise and system architecture experience.
