About the role
They're looking for a Site Reliability Engineer who’s ready to contribute at both the strategic and execution levels.
You should have a sharp eye for design, a strong grasp of complex systems, and a track record of applying it to demanding production systems.
You will join a team of Backend and Systems engineers in charge of infrastructure, core services , data pipelines, and observability platform.
Within the team, you will help deliver production-grade services with demanding requirements in terms of performance and cost-effectiveness, including important aspects like documentation, tests or APM metrics.
You will not take anything for granted and raise your hand when something doesn’t seem right or can be done in a better, more effective way.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and evolve their observability tools.
- Maintain and evolve their CI/CD processes.
- Keep their platform scalable and maintainable, matching their ever increasing load.
- Help them construct a SRE culture within the organization by fostering best practices.
- Improve the reliability of their systems.
- Boost their systems availability, without data loss or user impact.
Requirements:
- 3+ years experience in software engineering, especially in DevOps and/or SRE.
- Knowledge of Gitlab CI.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes and Helm.
- Experience with any of the major cloud platforms like AWS, GCP or Azure.
- Familiarity with Observability platforms like Prometheus, Grafana or Datadog.
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, as well as Search Engines.
- Knowledge of Event Streaming Platforms and Message Queues like Kafka and/or RabbitMQ.
- Comfortable with SRE, GitOps and DevOps principles.
- Must be a fiscal resident of Portugal (regardless of nationality).
