Mechanical Engineer - AI Trainer

Mercor is hiring a Mechanical Engineer - AI Trainer for a contract position. The role involves evaluating AI model performance on mechanical engineering problems, reviewing and annotating tasks, and producing original problem sets. The ideal candidate has a PhD in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience and is comfortable with engineering drawings and performance curves.

Requirements

• PhD in Mechanical Engineering or MS with 3+ years of applied experience
• Working fluency in at least two of: statics/dynamics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, machine design, or heat transfer
• Comfortable with engineering drawings, free-body diagrams, and performance curves
