Job Overview
We are seeking an AI & Automation Engineer to develop data-driven solutions, machine learning models, and advanced process control strategies to optimize manufacturing performance and drive operational excellence.
The ideal candidate should possess strong programming capabilities, analytical thinking, and a good understanding of manufacturing or process engineering environments.
Key Responsibilities
Process Optimization & Automation
- Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing performance, yield, productivity, and cost efficiency through data-driven solutions.
- Develop and implement advanced process control strategies to enhance process stability and equipment performance.
- Support the integration of manufacturing data collection and process control workflows.
AI, Data Analytics & Machine Learning
- Design, develop, and deploy AI and machine learning models to support manufacturing improvement initiatives.
- Analyze large volumes of operational and manufacturing data to generate actionable insights.
- Develop predictive models and automation solutions to improve operational decision-making.
Software & Workflow Development
- Build and maintain workflow automation solutions using Python and database technologies.
- Develop and enhance operational dashboards and reporting tools to improve visibility across manufacturing operations.
- Support the design of scalable software solutions for manufacturing applications.
System Integration & Continuous Improvement
- Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, IT, and cross-functional teams to implement and support digital transformation initiatives.
- Participate in system integration, process enhancement, and automation projects.
- Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and maintenance of implemented solutions.
DevOps & Application Support
- Support software deployment, version control, and application lifecycle management activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development and deployment processes.
- Assist in maintaining production-critical applications and automation systems.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Strong programming experience in Python.
- Hands-on experience with SQL and database technologies.
- Good understanding of manufacturing operations, process engineering, automation, or process control concepts.
- Exposure to AI, machine learning, data analytics, or predictive modelling is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and software deployment methodologies is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex operational data.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Able to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
