About the Role
The Cloud Engineer is responsible for the provisioning, management, and security of cloud infrastructure supporting THE CUSTOMER cloud infra. This role ensures that cloud environments are built to specification, operated efficiently, and secured in accordance with THE CUSTOMER security baselines and agency governance requirements.
Requirements
Degree or diploma in Cloud Computing, Information Technology, or a related field
Relevant cloud certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, or equivalent are strongly preferred
Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure services, preferably AWS (e.g. EC2, VPC, IAM, SSM or equivalent services) with good understanding of GCC environment and its compliance and security requirements
Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools, such as Terraform or CloudFormation and DevSecOps
Experience with version control practices using Git or equivalent tools.
Experience working in a government or regulated cloud environment is an advantage
Experience remediating infrastructure-level findings from VAPT and host configuration reviews, including addressing misconfigurations, hardening cloud resources against recognised benchmarks such as CIS, and implementing corrective controls, is an advantage.
Able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Familiarity with Agile or sprint-based delivery methodologies is an advantage.
