This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, international environment, leading procurement activities and supporting strategic purchasing operations for MIL-Spec and aerospace components while collaborating with cross-functional teams across the organization. This position is a replacement for the departing Alison Parker. This position will report to Industrial Procurement Manager Europe/ European Director of Supplier Management Mil & Aero.
Leading and managing the procurement MIL/Aero team, including guidance, training, and performance evaluations
Developing and implementing procurement strategies to optimize cost efficiency, supplier reliability, and inventory management
Overseeing sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing activities for MIL-Spec and aerospace components and products
Establishing and maintaining strong supplier relationships, including performance monitoring and risk assessments
Ensuring compliance with relevant MIL/Aero standards, industry regulations, and internal company policies
Conducting supplier audits and assessments to ensure quality and contractual compliance
Collaborating with internal departments such as Production, Warehouse, Sales, Product, and Logistics
Managing procurement documentation and maintaining accurate records, including purchase orders and invoices
Driving resolution of supply chain disruptions, quality concerns, and vendor performance issues
Leading process improvement initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency, reduce costs, and improve lead times
Minimum 7+ years of purchasing experience, preferably in MIL/Aero, electronic components, or a related industry
Strong knowledge of MIL-Spec and aerospace procurement standards and regulations
Experience working with ERP/MRP systems for procurement and inventory management
Proven leadership and team management skills
Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to analyze market trends and supplier performance data
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred) or equivalent work experience
Fluency in English; additional European languages are an advantage
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel)
Knowledge of ITAR and export compliance regulations
Experience with supplier audits and quality control processes
