- Lead metadata, lineage and data catalog integration across Azure data platforms, ensuring consistency and completeness at scale
- Define and implement Data Governance and Data Quality frameworks in regulated, enterprise environments
- Drive Git-based workflows and governance standards adoption across cross-functional teams
- Own platform and data health monitoring, producing actionable reporting on quality, compliance and policy adherence
- Lead incident management and production support activities, coordinating resolution across technical and business teams
- Own and govern the data catalog, ensuring metadata, lineage and classification are accurate and up to date
- Define and enforce data classification and retention policies in compliance with GDPR and enterprise standards
- Establish and maintain data governance artefacts including data dictionaries, quality rules and policy documentation
- Enforce governance standards across multi-environment setups (Dev / UAT / PRD), driving consistency and auditability
- Lead incident resolution within production data platforms, acting as escalation point for junior team members
- University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or comparable field
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in data platforms or data governance
- Proven expertise in metadata, lineage and data catalog integration at enterprise scale
- Strong track record in incident management and production support in complex environments
- Deep experience working in data platforms across multiple domains (not only analytics or reporting)
- Strong understanding of pipelines, orchestration, and data processing architectures
- Familiarity with Microsoft Purview, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 and Azure Monitor
- Professional English at C1 level (spoken and written – mandatory)
- Ability to influence and align technical and non-technical stakeholders at senior level
- Strong leadership in distributed, cross-functional teams
- Strategic mindset with clear ownership and accountability
- Structured and proactive approach to incident, problem and risk management
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver in dynamic, high-pressure environments
- Must hold a valid work permit or EU/Schengen Space nationality to legally work in Portugal
