Software Engineer

Duties & Key Responsibilities

• Managing project activities (including service projects) to ensure timely delivery, including identification of critical path, monitoring and driving completion of interdependent activities and adjustment to project schedules to achieve overall completion deadline.

• Provide support to the software application functions of the Warehouse Management System (WMS/WCS), in design, implementation, deployment, programming customization/configuration, troubleshooting. Responsible for the regular maintenance/administering of WMS.

• Provide software support to existing customers on troubleshooting, system recovery and audits. Include manning IT Software hotline.

• Negotiating with vendors and teams to ensure adequate resources are available during various phases of the project. This includes handling application support and change request.

• Responsibilities include gathering and analyzing requirements from clients in technical solution meetings, managing technical proposals, RFP, RFQ, RFI and software presentation to clients.

• Maintain working knowledge of industry trends, customers’ expectations, and the competition. Participate, as a technical resource supporting sales & marketing event.

• Willing to travel overseas as required to support project execution and commissioning.

• Providing software support to customers, including standby and on-call support as required.
  

Requirements

• Degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent

• 3 years of experience in software application (WMS / warehouse management system, and MFC/Material Flow Controls).

• Knowledge on DB (Oracle and SQL) and DB programming (PL-SQL and T-SQL).

• Knowledge of Object Orientated languages (C#, JavaScript), Microsoft Visual Studio, SQL server.

• Good experience in IT network, hardware, software, database.
